Marriott International and Grupo Saxum Group to develop a Residence Inn by Marriott and Fairfield by Marriott in Costa Rica
Marriott International, Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement with Grupo Saxum to develop the first Fairfield by Marriott and the second Residence Inn by Marriott in Costa Rica, increasing its portfolio to 17 hotels in this coveted market. The new properties will have 125 and 117 rooms, respectively.

"The continued expansion of the GMA has become attractive to international companies looking for strategic developments in the country, and we are excited to be part of this expansion."

Residence Inn Alajuela will be located in Alajuela's Coyol, known as the country's new logistics hub with easy access to the San Jose International Airport. Located near QALMA, a modern 13-story residential building, and the only vertical housing development in the area, the hotel will enhance the hospitality offerings in this up-and-coming location.
With 117 spacious suites designed to live, work and sleep comfortably, travelers can maximize their time and progress while on the road with fully-equipped kitchens in every room. suiteThe company also provides supermarket delivery service, take-out food markets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and complimentary breakfasts.
Fairfield by Marriott San Jose Curridabat will feature 125 guest rooms with the brand's contemporary and stimulating design to provide a seamless experience for guests to maintain their routines while on the road. This property will be located in Guayabos de Curridabat, a growing business center east of San Jose.
